Health and safety commitment |
The health and safety of every person associated with our projects is always paramount and we pride ourselves on having one of the best industry reputations in terms of both performance and commitment. In addition to our accreditation to OHSAS 18001 for health and safety management, we ensure that all our staff undergo rigorous project- and discipline-specific training. | | Safety schemes
- Construction Site Certification Scheme: all RSK Remediation and RemedX personnel and a large proportion of our chartered geologists are accredited to this standard
- National Grid Person and Competent Person Safety Training Scheme and the Basic Electrical Safety Scheme (BESC): all staff working on sub-station sites hold these qualifications
- HSG 47: a significant number of our staff have been through a two-day HSG 47 programme in order to reduce risk from underground utilities. Training included practical training on sub-station underground cable detection
- Petrol Forecourt Passport Training: All RSK personnel working for relevant BP Remediation Management, Shell UK Oil Limited or Chevron Texaco projects hold up-to-date safety passports
